REQUIREMENT

Company had an auto trader platform that it wanted to be converted into System, software as a service (SaaS) system delivered through the internet.

• Log in System for the Customers to view the stock quotes.
• Administrator control for the users of the system.
• Historical Stock Prices, trends data as well as the options data for the symbol selected.
• Trade values for these symbols.

CHALLENGE

Significant effort on the part of our professionals resulted in an effective system for the Client with the use of Quote Tracker and Yahoo web services.

FUNCTIONALITY

System constituted two areas:

• Admin Area: Controller of the system that is the admin who can create users and allocate specific symbols for them. Editing and Deletion of the users of the system can also be done but only by the administrator of the website. Admin can assign more symbols to a user and also delete some symbols for a specific user. Admin can view the stock quotes of all the symbols the users have subscribed to.
• User Area: Users of the system can log in to the system to view the stock quotes for the symbols they have subscribed to. Trends and Historical prices for their symbols can be viewed as well as Trades can be done for the trends of the symbols which the user currently selected. A brief guide is also provided for the users on the site.

Trades values are calculated depending on the holding period as well as the search period. Options data needs to be populated by the users.
